2. Using a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus approach.

Libra’s plan is to use validator nodes. This means that they will use a first-generation

(leader-based) consensus design. As I have noted, this level of de-centralization is

unsatisfactory. Planning to morph their network from a leader-based consensus to a

totally distributed consensus, such as MARPLE, will require a complete redesign.

3. Adopting and iterating on widely adopted blockchain data structures.

The blockchain concept is simple. Again, I do not find this idea particularly innovating.
