Furthermore, 37% of Gen Zers said working on projects they care about and being rewarded for a job well done brings out the best in them. And as for the reward, make it a cash bonus, 47% said.

Nearly half (48%) don’t want to have to deal with a stressful environment because it would impact their performance, and one-third of Gen Zers said they would not put up with a dysfunctional team.

And what else really turns them off? Forty-four percent of Gen Zers said a slow or delayed response from a recruiter or a hiring manager a major turn-off. This is more apparent for respondents from Mexico (55%) and India (52%).

They also don’t care for negative employee reviews online (41%), application portals that are not mobile-friendly (29%), and workplaces that have a “dated” feel (24%).
