As a result, the entire Georgia public school system has switched to the aptitude-based science. More state bureaucratic decision-makers, parents and career consultants will need to change if we are to tap into the full potential of our students and workers for God’s glory.

Even more disturbing are the statistics for students or future workers who are females or minorities. The aptitude-based science steers 3.4 times more females to key in-demand industries than does the older interest-based. The number for minorities is 2.1 times more on average. Some of the explanation comes from counselors and parents using historic gender and minority roles. In contrast, aptitude-based studies show much more gender and minority equality in God-given aptitudes. Minorities and women can be assessed for and consider many more careers than they have been. Many men are in the wrong careers, too.

God has designed your child and you with a unique combination of aptitudes. God has a plan for what career would best use your aptitudes and how you can glorify Him. It took me 30 years to learn this, but it is never too late.

Conclusion
There is a big opportunity for change in a more sophisticated career-assessment industry, and you and your children can take advantage of it. When we did our research to select the most helpful and effective approach, you can guess which one Unstatus Your Quo picked—not the status quo interest-based tool. On our website, you can see some screen shot results of our aptitude-based approach.

Witnessing parents understand and appreciate their children better inspires us to help more. Seeing a frustrated middle-age worker understand how work and life could be profoundly more fulfilling is what we do. We love helping a retiring professional athlete, retiring military or career-changing person have a vision of what could be so they can gracefully and joyfully leave what has been.

For believers, our Christian overlay and the science combine for a great combination of 1) understanding God’s will for us in work and 2) what career is best for the child or worker as God has designed him/her. God calls us to be a bright light in our work and that is possible. It is time to go for excellence for your child, for your community, for our economy and for God’s glory.
