Thomas B. Taylor is stepping up to the position of president of Cetera Advisors Networks, an independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor that is part of the Cetera Financial Group, Cetera announced recently.

Taylor, formerly senior vice president and chief operating officer of Cetera Advisor Networks, will replace Douglas S. King, who is leaving the firm to pursue other interests.

Taylor, 48, has 26 years of financial industry experience and joined Cetera Advisor Networks in 1997. He helped develop many of the company’s new operational, technological and sales initiatives, Cetera says.

King joined Cetera Advisor Networks as the firm's president in April 2012.

Cetera Financial, the parent company, recently underwent a reorganization in which Robert J. Moore replaced R. Lawrence “Larry” Roth as CEO.
