A former top Morgan Sanley advisor who managed about $509 million has joined Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James, in Miami, according to a news release.

Eva Marina Ovejero had been with Morgan Stanley since 2009, according to BrokerCheck, and before that with Citigroup Global Markets, which subsequently merged with Morgan Stanley. She served high-net-worth Central and Latin American families and business owners and has been recognized for the third consecutive year on Forbes' Best-In-State Wealth Advisor and Best-In-State Women Advisors lists for 2022 and 2023.

“The boutique wealth management style of Alex. Brown, combined with the vast resources and advanced technology of Raymond James, will be invaluable in providing personalized solutions and white-glove service to my clients,” she said in a statement. “I am grateful to join a local management team that understands the needs of my clients. With their support and our shared values of putting clients first, along with our independence, integrity, and conservative long-term vision, we have the perfect formula for success."

She joins Alex. Brown's Brickell Avenue branch, headed by Eric Termini, regional executive for South Florida.

“Eva's experience, expertise and dedication to her clients represents a phenomenal addition to our team as we continue to expand and enhance our ability to serve clients in the international space. I couldn't be happier for her to choose Alex. Brown and Raymond James as her new home,” Termini said.

Raymond James & Associates, wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, Inc. has about 8,700 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas and total client assets of about $1.25 trillion as of April 30. The firm serves as the broker/dealer and registered investment advisor for Alex. Brown, which became the nation's first investment bank upon its founding in 1800.
