Atlanta-area advisor Chris Kohne has been recruited to Sugarloaf Wealth Management, according to a release from Atlanta-based Triad Advisors LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc.

Kohne joins from Lincoln Financial Advisors and brings about $100 million in client assets with him. Sugarloaf is a Triad-affiliated hybrid registered investment advisory firm. With the assets brought on board by Kohne, Sugarloaf’s total brokerage and advisory assets will increase to $500 million, Triad said.

Triad facilitated Kohne’s move to Sugarloaf, which was motivated by Kohne's "strong focus on supporting clients in the retiree and near-retiree segments," according to a company press release. Sugarloaf’s team now has six advisors, including Kohne.

Kohne said, "Triad’s flexibility, culture of personalized service and vast resources all frankly made my decision an easy one, and their excellent succession planning capabilities will be a key resource as I begin to think about life after my career."

The Duluth, Ga., based Sugarloaf Wealth Management serves the Atlanta metro area with financial planning and investment services for mass affluent and high-net-worth clients, with a focus on retirees and clients nearing retirement.
