ACFIX carries a 1.43 percent net expense ratio. As of July 30, the fund had five-year annualized returns of 2.25 percent, according to Morningstar.

“If we have high inflation, rates go higher and our strategies aren’t really impacted,” Loprete said. “In the last four really big cycles where the Bloomberg-Barclay’s Aggregate Bond Index sold off, we performed positively in all of those quarters. It’s not that we’re smarter than everyone else, it’s because our returns are not derived from yield on longer duration securities.”
