Like investors in general, the wealthy have to remember that “acting rationally in a crisis is important,” said Reinhardt Olsen, head of Global Family Office Americas for UBS Investment Bank. “They need to understand which part of the portfolio is for long-term investments and which part can be used for opportunities that come up. Our family offices had a plan that responded well” to the pandemic.”
He added, “People are going to remain a little reluctant to resume activities and it will be a long slow return to normal” in life and the market.
