A pair of Wells Fargo advisors handling about $280 million in client assets has moved to Raymond James & Associates’ employee advisor channel in Tampa, Fla., according to a news release from Raymond James.

James “Jim” Warren III and Susan “Susie” Hite operate as Warren Hite Family Wealth Advisors of Raymond James. They join RJA’s existing Tampa office, led by branch manager Chuck Curtis, the release said.

Both advisors have more than 30 years in the industry, after beginning their careers with Smith Barney, which later became Citigroup Global Markets Inc., then Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. They joined Wells Fargo in 2010.

“Raymond James has grown to international prominence, competing very effectively by employing the latest technology, research and client protection strategies while retaining the personal and individually focused approach to financial consulting and wealth management,” said Warren, who serves as senior vice president of investments, in a statement.

Hite, a vice president of investments, said Raymond James values advisors’ relationships with clients and provides support to address the financial needs of clients. “With our practice and the firm’s headquarters both located in the Tampa Bay area, we are fortunate to have direct access to firm leaders, subject matter experts and service areas whose ‘can-do’ attitude permeates the company’s culture,” she said.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., Raymond James & Associates Inc. is a subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, an independent investment bank and financial services company founded in 1962. The company has about 8,300 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas. It has a total of $1.15 trillion in client assets.
