Four advisors with a total of $440 million in assets under management have left other firms to go independent as part of the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, Wells Fargo announced Tuesday.

Tom Fautrel and Paul Carlson of Bethesda, Md., left Morgan Stanley to open an independent practice, Seventy2 Capital, with Wells Fargo. The team has $243 million in client assets.

Michael Russo of Staten Island, N.Y., left Merrill Lynch to open an independent practice with Wells Fargo. He has more than 12 years of industry experience and $125 million.

Dennis Surmanek of Staten Island, N.Y., has left Merrill Lynch to open an independent practice, Surmanek Wealth Management, which has $72 million in client assets.
