A Wichita, Kan.-based advisor team has moved from Wells Fargo Advisors to Wells Fargo Financial Network (FiNet), the wirehouse’s independent broker-dealer channel.

Bill Wagner, Brian Martz, Scott Sennett and Andrew Kocukov, who previously operated as Martz-Wagner Wealth Management, have rebranded themselves as Horizon Wealth Management Group under FiNet. The firm managed $180 million in assets and told the Wichita Business Journal it retained 95 percent of its clientele after its transition.

Wells Fargo Advisors has taken measures to make the transition from its employee channel to the independent channel flexible for its advisors. In February, the brokerage firm told Financial Advisor that it would stay within the broker protocol and waive the transition fees it once placed on advisors who wanted to join FiNet.
