Wentworth Management Services has appointed Michael Breath as its chief financial officer, the firm announced Tuesday.

Breath joins Wentworth’s executive leadership team from SunTrust Bank, where he was the CFO for SunTrust’s consumer segment in Atlanta and before that the CFO of retail banking and private wealth management. Breath will now oversee matters such as accounting, finance, tax, treasury and strategic efforts involving mergers and acquisitions and integration for Wentworth. He will report to the firm’s CEO, Ryan Morfin.

Wentworth Management Services is a holding company in New York that acquires independent broker-dealers and insurance agencies.
