“We’ve had a number of people join our career training program,” said Lynch. “[But] not as many as we’d like.”

Thus, Lynch at the conference exhorted women advisors at Raymond James to keep the men around them in mind for potential women recruits.

“[We] just can’t do it by ourselves,” she said. “There’s far too many men in this business who are powerful . . . who have daughters, who have women in their lives who’d be really great in this profession and they don’t think about it. We have to be able to educate them and let them know why these women are well-suited for this profession.”
