8. Eat at the right places. Some restaurants fit into the “See and be seen” category. You’ve seen it before when people table hop to say hello to their friends. Your city should have a few. Regardless of city size, restaurants spring up to cater to the wealth market. It’s easy to find the ones. Become a regular. Do some table hopping yourself.

9. Your house and garden on tour. If you have a spectacular home with great gardens, this is an opportunity. When spring arrives, various organizations do house and garden tours. Our local hospital does a designer house. Kitchen tours are popular too. It’s an honor for your home to be selected. Crowds come through. Your social status goes up a few notches.

10. The charity gala venue. What’s even better than rubbing shoulders while attending a charity gala? Allowing the museum or hospital to hold the event on your property! You need a large property with plenty of parking. Good grounds and a grand house. Assuming you have all that, the rest is simple. The charity does all the work. They rent the tent, order the chairs and tables, bring in the caterer and the band. They sell tickets. They staff it. You get introduced as the owner of the host property. You meet everyone.

Some strategies are more practical than others. Each should provide access to new money, allowing you to engage on your terms.
