Advent Software Inc., at their AdventConnect Conference in Boston, has announced the availability of new APX Reports using Microsoft Reporting Services.

These new reports, available in Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), enable clients to present the calculations they rely on in modern, fresh and customizable formats. As the competitive landscape for investment managers continues to become more complex, firms are focusing on creating and differentiating their brands to attract and retain investors. These new reports should help advisors using APX to provide their clients with a more appealing visual experience.

The new APX Reports using Microsoft Reporting Services support advisors' efforts to differentiate their own brands and make it easier for Advent clients to communicate portfolio performance and other key metrics in more visually appealing graphs, tables and a variety of charts.  Clients can also customize the reports to adjust color palette, report style sheets and incorporate company logos and branding.    
New reports are available today to clients using APX 3.0 and were developed based on feedback from Advent's global client base. For U.S. clients, 14 reports are available and additional reports will be added in the fourth quarter of 2011. For Advent clients in EMEA, six reports, developed based on client input have been designed to meet the unique needs of investment professionals in this growing market for Advent.

APX Reports using Microsoft Reporting Services are built using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), a report framework that is included with Microsoft SQL Server.
