Yet few advisors say they are currently well-positioned to take advantage of growth opportunities, says Zeitoun.

“Many of them are invested in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index,” Zeitoun says. “While that index does give them exposure to emerging markets, it doesn’t give them exposure to the things they think are valuable.”

Zeitoun says that advisors will look to strategic-beta funds to provide investors with more discreet exposure to emerging markets.

When asked about their outlook for emerging markets over the next year, 42 percent of advisors were neutral, 33 percent were positive, and 25 percent negative.

Emerging Global Advisors polled 91 asset managers and financial advisors between March 1 and April 1, 2015.
