Walsh, 72, pleaded guilty in April 2014 to securities fraud. U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum sentenced Walsh in November 2014 to 20 years in prison and gave Greenwood a 10-year prison term a month later.

A federal appeals court in January overturned Greenwood's sentence, saying it was based on findings about victim losses that were unsupported by the record. The case was reassigned to Preska after Cedarbaum died in February.

The case is U.S. v. Greenwood et al, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, No. 09-cr-00722.
