Focus Financial Partners LLC, an international partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms, has added the $1 billion firm Relative Value Partners of Northbrook, Ill., to its network, Focus Financial announced Wednesday.

The addition of RVP brings the number of Focus partner firms in Chicago to three. RVP has seven investment professionals serving high-net-worth clients and is continuing to expand its Chicago presence, Focus says.

Focus also announced that Quadrant Private Wealth Management, based in Bethlehem, Pa., has become a Focus partner. Quadrant is a $500 million independent wealth management firm. The founding partners are Herman Rij, Jason Cort, Kori Lannon and Brian Cort. Last September, Quadrant added Brian Murray, previously with Merrill Lynch, as director of wealth structuring.

JFS Wealth Advisors in Hermitage, Pa., a Focus partner, has added Thomas Paulus to its team. Paulus, a sole proprietor advisor, will help JFS expand its presence in Pennsylvania, particularly in the Philadelphia area, Focus says.

In addition, Buckingham Asset Management in St. Louis, Mo., a Focus partner, has merged with Posey Capital Management, a $200 million RIA based in Houston, Focus announced. The addition of Posey gives Buckingham a second office in Houston. Buckingham has completed five mergers and strategic transactions in 2015, following the most recent addition of Classic Capital, a Short Hills, N.J.-based RIA, in April.

The recent moves continue the expansion efforts Focus has undertaken this year, says Rudy Adolf, the company's founder and CEO.
