“This is an investment for the firm,” says Francis, who has a $1 million minimum for clients’ assets. “Most of the people who come to us are overwhelmed and they need someone to turn to. The second opinion program is a one-to-three month process and they are free to leave at any time.”

Francis Financial has had 42 prospective clients go through the process: 30 turned out to be ideal clients and, of those, 25 became clients, an 83 percent close rate.

“This is extremely fulfilling for us. We get to be privy to the most important information in these people’s lives. Some things they have never told anyone else before,” Francis says. “We are giving them financial security and I totally believe it is the right thing to do.”
