H.D. Vest Financial Services has hired Ruth Papazian for the newly created role of chief marketing officer. Based in Irving, Texas, Papazian will lead the firms marketing, communications and advisor recruiting efforts. She will also expand H.D. Vest’s digital presence through social media.

Papazian previously served as the chief marketing officer at LPL Financial, where she was responsible for the development and deployment of the Web-based marketing platform “Clients-First.” She left LPL in 2011 and has spent the last two years running her own consulting firm specifically focused on branding, strategic marketing and recruiting marketing for financial services firms. Papazian also held roles as CMO at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Evergreen Investments (Wachovia) earlier in her career.

Founded in 1983, H.D. Vest supports an independent network of tax and non-tax professionals who provide financial planning solutions, including securities, insurance, money management services and banking solutions for individuals and small businesses.
