The biggest robo-advisors, Ramji said, are Vanguard and Schwab. BlackRock, united with FutureAdvisor, will give advisors “a much more creditable way to compete with the giants of investing.”
He also believes that improved technology will help investment advisory services reach those with small amounts of assets.
The specific minimum investment amounts partners will require have yet to be announced, Lu said.
