Harris myCFO, a multifamily office that handles the financial needs of ultra-affluent families, on September 20 appointed John Benevides as president, Family Office Services. Benevides came to Harris from the Family Office Exchange, where he was president. Before that, he served as managing director of Financial Services for the Corporate Executive Board. Harris myCFO, headquartered in Chicago, serves over 350 families, each with an average of $300 million in investable wealth, and operates 150 multifamily offices.

Douglas Haack, a nine-year Navy veteran who most recently worked at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, recently joined Cornerstone Advisors as chief client relationship officer, assuming the position previously held by Ken Hart, Cornerstone's new president. The company, founded in 1984, is a Seattle-based, privately-held independent RIA and multi-client family office with more than $2 billion in assets under management.

Talisman Capital, a privately-held money management firm based in Chexbres, Switzerland, has hired Peter R.S. Bakker as partner to oversee the high-yield and distressed portions of Talisman's investment activity. Bakker has over 25 years of investment management experience in credit-related strategies; he was formerly a senior portfolio manager with Lazard Asset Management in New York, and a senior vice president at NatWest Markets.
