According to the SEC’s complaint, Crowe ontimued to filter illicit campaign contribnutions in secret until at least September 2010 in response to Ahmad’s threats that State Street would lose the Ohio pension fund business.

Both Ahmad and Alo have been criminally convicted for other misconduct during Ahmad’s tenure and are serving federal prison sentences.

State Street and DeBaggis did not admit or deny the SEC’s findings when settling their charges. The SEC seeks disgorgement, civil penalties, and injunctive relief from Crowe in its complaint.
