Mohamed El-Erian said some markets have become locked out of funding.
If there is a recession, he predicted it would be "on the shallower end."
Strategist Mike Wilson recently said that the rout in U.S. stocks has left them more fairly priced,

"The chances of a deep recession are pretty low,” market strategist Anthony Crescenzi.
The firm's chief economist said “there's no real reason to be worried about a recession.”
Dennis Gartman said it's "amusing" that a debate exists on whether stocks are in a bear market.
Dennis Gartman, the former publisher of the influential “The Gartman Letter,” has been bearish for months.
“[The Fed] increasingly has a problem with the marketplace,” he said.
