Raymond James Financial Services has recruited a former Wedbush Securities financial advisor with $253 million in client assets to the firm’s independent advisor channel in Fairbanks, Alaska, the company announced today.

Krista Stamper, who joined Raymond James and Concurrent, an advisor-owned partnership of independent practices affiliated with RJFS, is the founder and managing director of Stamper Wealth & Retirement Group.

Stamper has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She worked at Wedbush Securities for 14 years as a vice president, branch manager and financial advisor. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as an investment executive, operations manager and registered sales assistant at Ragen MacKenzie/Wells Fargo Investments. A large part of her practice is focused on financial planning for retirees and those close to retirement age.

“What led me to Raymond James is all about what’s best for my clients—the best technology, the depth and breadth of the diverse investments, and award-winning investment research,” Stamper said in a statement.

Raymond James Financial Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., which has about 8,200 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $923 billion in client assets.
