Five advisors collectively managing more than $695 million in client assets recently joined Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Washington, D.C., according to a company news release.

Christopher Murrle-Philippsen, formerly of Wells Fargo, joines the company in Miami. He began his career in financial services nearly 20 years ago at Merrill Lynch and later worked at Citigroup. Also joining in Miami is Jose de la Lama, who has 20 years of industry experience, with most of his career spent at Merrill Lynch.

Lee Haverstock, vice president of wealth management, joins from Morgan Stanley and is based in Atlant. He has more than 26 years of experience, primarily at Morgan Stanley.

William Taylor, director and client advisor, joins from Merrill Lynch, where he began his career in 2011. He is based in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Mark Murphy, vice president, investments, who joins from Janney Montgomery Scott is based in Washington, D.C. Murphy began his career at Smith Barney in 1984. He spent several years at other firms including Citigroup Global Markets and Morgan Stanley.
