Americans are not only worried about how the coronavirus COVID-19 will impact their health, but also how it will hit their wallets, according to a survey by the National Financial Educators Council.  

The survey of 4,803 people, conducted last week, found that 59% said their biggest concern now is getting the coronavirus, compared with 41% that cited their personal finances. The survey also showed that 31% of respondents said they are somewhat negatively impacted by the pandemic, while 27% said they are very negatively impacted.

More than 70% indicated that they are concerned about how the outbreak will impact their finances over the next three months, of which 28% said they are very concerned.

As for being financially prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic, 48% said they felt financially prepared and one-third said they felt unprepared.
