Americans Favor Clinton's Tax Policies Over Trump's, Survey Says

So I guess we'd better vote for Hillary, because 700 people out of 300 million think Hillary's tax plan is better. C'mon FA, at least make an effort to pretend that you're being balanced in your reporting. So they polled 1040 US adults. I'd be very curious to know how many of the people polled are actually working, and paying taxes, and especially how many are small business owners. If any of those polled were students, then we know why they answered this way - students have no clue about taxes until they actually get a job. If any of those polled are struggling to find work in this terrible economy, then it makes sense to want to take more from the "rich" to help pay their bills. It's easy to vote to raise taxes when you think someone else will pay them. But as we're seeing with ObamaCare, people aren't too happy when they realize that they too must pay those higher taxes, not just someone else. Very few people think of themselves as wealthy, so it's natural to assume that someone else will pay the higher taxes. And in many cases, those earning $300 - 500K in expensive cities like New York and LA aren't wealthy, because they take home so little of what they earn, and pay thru the nose for a home or apartment. So many of them are struggling to save, much less accumulate wealth. Why is it so difficult for the average person to understand government waste, fraud and abuse? Why do otherwise logical people think it makes sense to filter their hard-earned money through a vast, unending sea of government bureaucracy before finally, hopefully applying it to "solve a problem" that they care about, rather than just paying less taxes, and using the money they keep to fix the problems around them, through local charities and service organizations of their own choosing? Once their money goes into the vast government machine, who knows where it will go, what it will be used for, or who's pocket it will line? A better poll would be to only poll those actually working and paying taxes, and designed around the question, "How much more are you personally willing to pay in taxes, in order to achieve 'tax fairness'?" I'd bet far fewer would say yes. So this poll seems to me to be like so many others, designed to influence public opinion, rather than to capture public opinion.
