The Minneapolis-headquartered brokerage firm recruited a former AXA Advisors team and a former MML Investors Services team, Ameriprise announced.

Father-son advisors Charles Gemmer and Adam Gemmer, along with advisors Brent Gramman and Ronan Marra and client service coordinator Christina Goodwin, compose Gemmer Wealth Management. The team has $150 million in assets under management and is based in Indianapolis, Ind.

"We did our due diligence and talked to many broker-dealers about our goals and client needs. We felt Ameriprise was the best move because they supported how we operate as a team, not just as individual advisors. They allow us the flexibility to add advisors and staff as needed to support our team's growth,” said Charles Gemmer.

In April, Ameriprise nabbed a Latham, N.Y., team with $295 million in assets under management from MML Investors Services. Three Buckets Management includes Ryan Lambert as the managing partner and financial advisor; advisors Cheri Amsden, Daniel Miller, James Phillips, Christopher Spratt and Mark Wells; practice manager Lauren Mueller; client concierge Jennifer O’Reilly; and client service coordinator Michelle McKay.

Ameriprise also announced in April that it added 70 experienced advisors in the first quarter, increasing its advisor total to 9,881 and increasing its assets under management and administration by 9 percent to $887 billion.
