Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. has announced that 60%, or 1,266, of the 2,104 individuals who sat for its July 2004 CFP Certification Examination passed. The 10-hour, two-day exam was conducted at 50 sites nationwide and three internationally.
Since 1995, 35,342 candidates have sat for the exam and 26,096 have passed either on their first try or on subsequent attempts. The cumulative pass rate is 74%.
The next exam will be held November 19-20 for candidates who have qualified to sit for the exam by meeting CFP Board's education requirements. The deadline for completed applications is October 6.
