TIAA-CREF has announced the formation of a Board of
Financial Advisors that will guide the company's advisor services group.
The company, which specializes in managing
retirement accounts in the academic, medical and cultural fields, says
the independent advisors will meet three times a year after meeting for
the first time in August.
The members of the board are:
Janet Briaud, founder of Briaud Financial Planning
and a specialist in serving clients who are college professors. She is
considered an expert on 403(b) accounts.
Greg Carlson, founding principal of Carlson Capital Management and an advisor for more than 20 years.
Michael Filbrandt, founder and president of
Filbrandt & Company. The firm provides financial services to
university professionals.
Donald Kukla, principal of the Moneta Group. She
provides advisory services to corporate executives, physician groups,
business owners and other affluent clients.
Michael Mattise, co-founder of Radnor Financial
Advisors and an investment managemer and financial planner.
Jeff Petersen, principal with Petersen Hastings
Investment Management. His firm provides financial planning and
investment advisory services for individuals, qualified retirement
plans, endowments and foundations.
Richard Steinberg, co-founder, president and chief
investment officer of Steinberg Global Asset Management Ltd. He is also a
sub-advisor to the Hallmark Large Cap Growth Fund.
Dennis Vogt, managing director of Personal
Investment Management Inc. He has been active in investment
counseling and insurance since 1979.
