Fidelity Investments has added three new funds to its Fidelity Advisor family, covering international real estate, investments in Canada and small caps.
The shares, with class A, T, B, C and institutional shares, will be offered through advisors at institutions such as brokerage firms, banks and insurance companies, according to Fidelity.
The funds will be named the Fidelity Advisor International Real Estate, Canada and Small Cap Independence funds, and will bring the total number of funds in the Fidelity Advisor family to 99.
The International Real Estate fund will invest primarily in non-U.S. securities with at least 80% of fund assets in companies primarily engaged in the real estate industry and other real estate-related investments, according to Fidelity.
The Canada Fund will invest in the securities of Canada issuers and other investments that are economically tied to Canada. The fund may invest up to 35% of total assets in any industry that accounts for more than 20% of the Canadian market, according to Fidelity.
The Small Cap Independence Fund will invest in companies with market capitalization similar to companies in the Russell 2000 and the S&P SmallCap 600 Index, and will use fundamental analysis to invest in either growth or value stocks, or both, according to Fidelity.
