Nestlehut Financial Services, a nine-member boutique firm with $275 million in assets under management, has joined Cetera Financial Group in the Chicagoland area, according to a company release.

The Frankfort, Ill.-based Nestlehut, which has been offering financial planning services to clients for 40 years, includes firm principal and financial advisor Thomas Nestlehut; financial advisors Adam J. Beierle and Michael D. Kordas; and associates Margaret Cinotti, Peggy Pienta, Cathy Beck, Emily Myers, Jennifer Justin-Pierson and Candice Purdy.

The firm, which provides holistic planning services and supports nearly 700 families, has reported a growth trend of roughly $30 million to $35 million in new assets annually, the release noted.

Nestlehut said the opportunities for cost savings and more robust technology for the firm’s clients were top considerations in choosing Cetera. “Platforms like Cetera’s AdviceWorks create an environment for efficiency in managing our clients’ money and an enhanced digital experience for investors, which is key in today’s virtual business environment,” he said.

Brett Harrison, head of the traditional channel for Cetera, said the independent and entrepreneurial mindset of the Nestlehut team made it a perfect fit for Cetera’s advisor community. “Our focus on digitization driving growth will provide the firm with the tools, technology and custom services they are seeking,” he said.

Cetera is an independent broker-dealer headquartered in El Segundo, Calif. Its service model, designed around specialty communities, provides boutique service to its network of 8,000 financial professionals.
