Cetera has added a family-run firm in Trussville, Ala. with about $100 million in assets under management, community, according to a release from the company.

Falkner Financial, founded in 1976 by Butch Falkner, focuses on succession, retirement and executive compensation planning, the release said. It added that families also have access to specialized and traditional education savings plans, and holistic financial planning is available for individuals.

Joining him on the move are his sons, financial advisors Beau and Brice Falkner, and executive assistant Joy Snuggs.

John Pierce, head of business development at Cetera, said the Falkner Financial has a multigenerational approach to serving clients’ financial needs through all stages of life. “In speaking with Butch about his decision to join Cetera, programs like AdviceWorks and our boutique service model backed by the strength of large enterprise resources will be key to the growth and evolution of their practice,” he added.

Cetera is an independent broker-dealer headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., that provides boutique service to its network of 8,000 financial professionals.
