All CFP certification examination testing sites will close, the CFP Board announced today, disrupting its current slate of exams.
“While we regret the inconvenience this will cause, CFP Board supports this decision to help protect public health,” said Kevin Keller, CEO of the CFP Board, in released comments. “We will do all we can to minimize any disruptions as candidates pursue certification.”
The decision to close testing sites for 30 days was made by the CFP Board’s test administrator, Prometric, which elected to shut down operations due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
All test takers impacted by the closures will be rescheduled at no additional costs for the examinations slated for July 7-14, 2020. The CFP certification exam is typically administered three times each year.
