It's been two months since we got our microsite, FA green, up and running and the print edition of FA green will appear in the April issue of Financial Advisor magazine. I've spoken to many financial advisors and investment advisors interested in sustainable or socially responsible investing, but I'd like to hear from many more of you.
I'd be interested in hearing about your financial planning or investment advisory practice. Here are some questions to get you thinking:
If you don't have SRI clients but are interested in adding them, what has made you hesitate?
What steps did you take to expand or start a practice by adding SRI clients?
How have the issues that your clients faced in the last year differ from other years?
Did you form a client advocacy group this year? If so, why?
Why did you switch to a new broker-dealer?
How did you find a new business partner who is interested in SRI?
At what events or organizations have you met people who have become your clients?
What did you learn about a new product or service that you think would help others involved with SRI?
How did you reallocate your SRI portfolios in the wake of the financial crisis?
Who in your firm, aside from yourself, has been most valuable in helping you build your practice?
What new technology have you added that has helped your practice?
What are some of the challenges in providing SRI to clients?
Here's one article, and here's another, about other advisors that may also give you a few ideas. I'd love to hear from you, so drop me a line by clicking here.
