Stephen C. Craffen has been elected chair of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors with a one-year term starting Sept. 1, 2018, NAPFA announced Thursday.

He will succeed Scott Beaudin.

Craffen, CFP, is the founder of Stonegate Wealth Management in Oakland, N.J.

He previously served as chair of the NAPFA Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Region Board and has been on the national NAPFA Board of Directors since 2015. Craffen has more than 30 years’ experience as a financial planner.
