Entreda, a cybersecurity software company headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., has created a new cybersecurity advisory board and filled the first two seats with financial and software executives, according to a news release.

Entreda advisory board members will include Marc Butler, chief operating officer of BNY Mellon’s Albridge and Neil Daswani, former chief information security officer at LifeLock and co-director of the Stanford Advanced Security Program, the company announced.

Entreda says it plans to appoint additional industry leaders across the wealth management space to its advisory board, including representatives from broker-dealers, asset managers and RIA technology providers. They will deliver feedback on new product concepts, market entry considerations and responses to regulatory inquiries at wealth management firms, the company said.

Sid Yenamandra, co-founder and CEO of Entreda, said in a news release that in order to avoid costly and embarrassing data breaches, it was necessary for his team to have more than just top-notch software and deep industry knowledge.

“Staying ahead of the curve also demands that we have clarity on the concerns of financial services leaders who have helped protect these firms themselves,” he said. “The advisory board fulfills that need.”

Founded in 2011, Entreda has offices in Birmingham, Ala., and Santa Clara, Calif.
