EP Wealth Advisors LLC of Torrance, Calif., has acquired Seattle-based Conlon Dart Wealth Management, an independent, fee-only wealth management firm with more than $500 million in client assets under management (AUM) and over 300 clients.

Under the deal, Conlon Dart co-founders Mitch Conlon and Stephen Dart will each assume the role of regional director and partner at EP Wealth, while Conlon Dart's senior financial advisor partners Rick Bryan and Joe Boden will each assume the new titles of senior vice president, senior wealth advisor and partner at EP Wealth.

This is the fifth acquisition for EP Wealth since acquiring a minority stake in Wealth Partners Capital Group, a financial services holding company in Palm Beach, Fla., and its second regional expansion since acquiring Donnelly Wealth Advisors in San Diego last year.

EP Wealth last year also acquired Rampart Wealth Advisors of Greenwood Village, Colo., Caves & Associates Inc. of Manhattan Beach, Fla., and Millie Capital Management of Walnut Creek, Calif. EP Wealth says that its latest acquisition of Conlon Dart will further expand its presence in the greater Seattle region.

“EP Wealth remains committed to growth in 2019, expanding our resources, capabilities and geographic reach,” said Patrick Goshtigian, CFA, president and CEO of EP Wealth, in a press release.

Financial and legal terms of the deal were not disclosed.

EP Wealth Advisors LLC is a fee-only registered investment advisor (RIA) and financial planning firm with additional offices in the San Francisco Bay area, San Diego, West Los Angeles and Irvine, Calif., Seattle and Denver. As of March 31, 2019, the firm reportedly managed more than $4 billion in AUM.
