Commonwealth Financial Network has added a former Edward Jones advisor with about $60 million in client assets to its network of independent financial advisors, according to a news release.

Jeff Boyer operates 7 Grains Planning & Investments in Lynchburg, Va. He is joined by support staff Carol Bradley, Calvin Egan and Kate Egan. The team, the release noted, serves professionals and pre-retirees looking for holistic guidance and investment management that complement their life’s purpose and adventure.

Boyer chose to partner with Commonwealth to enhance his firm’s capabilities, the release noted. “We support our clients with kindness and compassion, with a focus on community, and we love to see our clients flourish,” he said in a statement. “Joining the Commonwealth family of advisors was a natural choice because we knew they valued the same things.”

The team already has taken advantage of Commonwealth’s Brand Studio offering to create its brand and website. The press release added that they will also tap Commonwealth’s Advanced Planning team of specialists “to empower a renewed emphasis on tax planning.”

“It’s always exciting to welcome a new firm into our tightly knit community of independent advisors,” said Andrew Daniels, Commonwealth’s managing principal of business development. “Knowing that we have shared values around education and building relationships for the long haul makes it that much better.”
