A former Edward Jones financial advisor who managed about $220 million in client assets has joined Raymond James Financial Services’ employee advisor channel in El Dorado, Kansas, the company announced today.

Lance Lechtenberg has been in the financial services industry since 2002 and worked at Edward Jones for 18 years. He and his team, which includes branch professionals Rhonda Olbrey and Darlene Potter, operate as L.J. Lechtenberg Strategic Financial Partners LLC.

Lechtenberg said he was drawn to Raymond James’ philosophy of giving advisors ownership and flexibility to run their businesses independently. “In addition, the investment research and services Raymond James offers will be incredibly beneficial as I continue to serve clients and their evolving needs,” he said in a statement.

Raymond James Financial Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., which has about 8,200 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $930 billion in client assets.
