A former LPL Financial advisor who managed about $733 million in client assets has joined Ameriprise Financial’s independent channel, according to a news release.

Frank Patrick Cunnane joined Fidant Wealth Partners, an Ameriprise practice with offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Crestview Hills, Ky. Fidant, which was established in 1992 and manages more than $1.4 billion in client assets, is led by Ameriprise private wealth advisor Doug Kisker. It includes eight advisors and more than 30 support staff.

Cunnane had been with LPL since 2011, according to BrokerCheck. He began his career in 1986 with Kidder, Peabody & Co. and worked for several other companies, including Prudential Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.

“With a long-established 401(k) retirement plan business, it was important for me to find a team with experience in that space, as well as a focus on helping retail clients meet their individual goals through financial planning,” Cunnane said in a statement. “That’s what I found in Fidant Wealth Partners. Our businesses fit together like hand-in-glove.”

He will be joined by associate financial advisor Jennifer Hope, operations specialist Mary Beth Cunnane and client relationship managers Holly Snyder and Sharon Kovats.

The release noted that Kisker has successfully transitioned more than 10 outside practices into the Fidant Wealth Partners team, which also factored into Cunnane’s decision to move to Fidant and Ameriprise. “Knowing I’d have a dedicated transition team and hands-on support from people who have a track record of successfully facilitating transitions ultimately gave me the confidence to make the move,” Cunnane added.
