Baird today announced that The WillowPointe Group, a former UBS team with $270 million in client assets, has joined the firm in a new branch in Cookeville, Tenn.

The five-person team includes Lawrence (Larry) Taylor, who joins Baird as a director and financial advisor, and Steve Boots, who will serve as a senior vice president and financial advisor. They are supported by Rachel Dalton, associate financial advisor; Amy Ray, senior client specialist; and Amber Underwood Taylor, client assistant.

Taylor brings nearly four decades of industry experience to Baird and Boots has 23 years of industry experience.

Parker Griffith, southeastern market director for Baird's private wealth management group, said Baird is excited to continue its expansion in Tennessee through “this new branch and the team of talented professionals that share our deep commitment to putting client interests first,” he said in a statement.

Including this new Cookeville branch, Baird has 12 private wealth management offices in Tennessee. It also has public finance, institutional fixed income and institutional equity research offices in Nashville and Knoxville.
