The Financial Planning Association has appointed a nine-member committee to find a new CEO for the organization following the resignation of Lauren Schadle in May, the organization announced today.
The committee includes the following:
• Charles Adi, founder and principal of Blueprint 360.
• Lee Baker, owner and president of Apex Financial Services.
• Elissa Buie, founder and CEO of Yeske Buie.
• Claudia Kane, financial advisor with Raymond James.
• James Lee, founder and president of Lee Investment Management, who will act as chairman.
• Skip Schweiss, 2020 FPA president-elect and president of TD Ameritrade Trust Company.
• Martin C. Seay, 2020 FPA president and department head and associate professor at Kansas State University.
• Catherine Seeber, vice president and financial advisor at Captrust.
• Evelyn M. Zohlen, 2020 FPA chair and founder of Inspired Financial.
The CEO search committee hopes to have a new CEO in place by Jan. 1, the FPA said. The committee will work with Vetted Solutions, an executive search firm specializing in associations and nonprofits.
Patrick Mahoney, who has experience as an executive in the profit and nonprofit sectors, has been acting as interim CEO for the association. Schadle’s resignation came at a time when the association has been battling decling membership and recently undergoing a restructuring of its brand.
