Chicago-based HighTower announced on Thursday the launch of a $500 million AUM Miami-based RIA.
True Wealth Advisory Group has broken away from J.P Morgan under the leadership of founder and CEO Marc Shachtman.
Shachtman previously served as executive director and senior banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he led a wealth management team and served as banker team leader for the Miami market, providing financial planning and investment advice to ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Before his stint at J.P. Morgan, he served as a vice president in the investment management division at Goldman Sachs.
According to its most recent Form ADV disclosures filed in September 2017, HighTower now has more than $50 billion in AUM.
