While INVENT is designed to work with organizations of any size or business model, thus far its primary clients are large enterprise financial services firms. The platform allows each practitioner within an enterprise firm to customize their platform, allowing users a unique view across all of the technologies they use.

“Having operated broker-dealers and RIAs for my entire career, one of the biggest issues we’ve had in our operating environment is that we have 'legacy everything,'” said Roth, adding that the process of buying firms and melding together advisors and technology is a major undertaking.

"INVENT speaks to putting all of these processes in a single pane of glass for the advisors and the operating and executive teams,” he said

For example, Cambridge Investment Group last September tabbed INVENT to integrate and automate many of its process, making its legacy technology work more easily with eMoney.

Roth brings to INVENT his considerable experience across multiple channels of the financial services industry, which should pave the way for future growth, according to Tishkevich.

While INVENT’s focus is currently on enterprise firms and broker-dealers, Roth envisions moving into the independent RIA space “when we can get to a point where we can best serve those folks.”
