The report pointed out that those views of married millennials are in stark contrast to what single millennial women envisioned. They saw themselves participating in long-term financial decisions after marriage. In fact, 88% saw themselves as participating equally or taking the lead in planning finances for the future, and 67% believed married women rely too much on spouses to make financial decisions. But those thoughts were scrapped once they tied the knot.

That said, the pandemic has led women to become more focused on their finances, the report said. Sixty-three percent said it has affected how they think about money, 64% intend to discuss finances more with my spouse/partner, and 51% intend to discuss inheritance plans with their children.

Additionally, 33% have reviewed their financial situation and 40% are still considering doing so. Sixteen percent have updated their will and 37% said they are considering it.
