Hank Murphy has joined Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global investment manager based in New York City, as a managing director and portfolio manager, Fiduciary Trust Company.
Murphy will be responsible for investment manager research, selection and monitoring. He will be based in the firm’s headquarters in New York City. Fiduciary Trust Company, which has more than $74.8 billion in assets under administration and management, serves individuals, families, endowments and foundations.
“Hank’s integrity, experience and collaborative approach will make him a strong fit within our organization,” said Wayne Sprague, executive vice president and director of Advisory Services.
Murphy has 25 years of experience in alternative investments. Most recently, he served as a partner and director of investor relations and business development at SLS Capital, a New York-based hedge fund. He has also held senior positions at Investcorp International, where he founded and managed Investcorp’s hedge fund seeding platform.
