Incapital LLC, an underwriter and distributor of fixed-income securities, announced that Paul Mottola has joined the firm as head of capital markets. He reports directly to CEO John DesPrez and will also be a member of the executive committee.
In addition to leading the capital markets team, Mottola will drive the firm’s InterNotes program to offer individual investors access to new issue corporate debt. He has held various leadership positions, including 20 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was head of equity and fixed-income syndicate for the global wealth management division, and six years at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management as the head of the trading and the capital markets platforms. Most recently, he was a managing partner at PCM Management Consulting LLC.
Based in Chicago and with a principal office in Boca Raton, Fla., Incapital is an underwriter and distributor of securities to more than 800 broker-dealers, institutions, asset managers, RIAs and banks. The firm represents more than 300 issuing entities and has underwritten more than $460 billion in securities.
