Procyon Partners, a Shelton, Conn.-based independent RIA with some $5 billion in client assets, has added two advisors with some $600 million in combined client assets.

Frank J. McKiernan and Jerry R. Sneed, both based in New York, co-headed the wealth division of Baker Tilly Wealth Management. At Procyon, they will be senior vice presidents and senior private wealth advisors.

Since its launch in 2017, Procyon has acquired more than $1.5 billion in new client assets. Part of the Dynasty Financial Partners network, it serves high-net-worth individuals and companies.

In a press release, McKiernan said he was looking forward to the opportunity to “provide our clients a powerful boutique advisory experience.” Procyon, he continued, has “an extraordinary business [that’s built] on values and principles that we share wholeheartedly, and that support our long-held commitment to provide the gold standard for client experience.”

Sneed concurred. “Frank and I share an intense dedication to our business as we immerse ourselves in our clients’ objectives—and we go above and beyond to assist them in achieving success,” he said in the press release.

Procyon CEO Phil Fiore, one of the firm’s cofounders, who has 25 years of experience in providing financial consulting and advisory services to high-net-worth families and corporations, cited the firm’s multifaceted support services—its analysts, traders, marketing and business-development professionals, and others—as differentiators that allow Procyon’s advisors to “focus on building deeper relationships with their clients and making the most of the referrals that come from providing this high level and holistic service."

He called McKiernan and Sneed “next-gen professionals who are at the top of their game, excited about their work, and passionate about further growth and accomplishment.”

Since May 2021, when Procyon merged with Pivotal Planning Group, a Virginia Beach, Va.-based firm also affiliated with Dynasty Financial Partners, it has recruited a half-dozen new advisors. It now has nearly 50 employees spread across six offices on the East Coast.
